The Society of American Foresters, South Carolina Division's 2015 summer meeting will focus on changing markets and its impact on forest industry planning and expansion. Besides the traditional markets of lumber and paper, other forest products like oriented strand board, biomass, wood pellets, fuel chips, and a strong export market have gained a foothold in South Carolina's forest industry and will increase in the future. This will impact decisions on forest management, mill expansion and renovations, and forest policy.
