9:00am - 3:30pm - Project Learning Tree PreK-8 Workshop - $20/person, 5.5 SAF CFE Category 2 - Facilitator:  Kari Abbott, 2007 Virginia PLT Outstanding Educator, Master Gardener, Virginia Cooperative Extension
8:30am - 11:30am - Friday Morning Forestry Classes - $15/person (1 hr); $20/person (1.5 hr)
8:30am - Conservation Easements: Lessons Learned (1.5 hr) - Instructor: R. Lee Stephens Jr. is the resident shareholder at the Irvington office of Spotts Fain P.C.  His law practice concentrates on conservation, business, real estate transactions, and government relations.
8:30am - Introduction to GPS and On-Line Mapping (1.5 hr) - Instructor: Adam Downing, Forestry and Natural Resources Extension Agent, Virginia Cooperative Extension's Northern District
10:30am - The Care and Tending of Increment Borers (1 hr) - Instructor: Carolyn Copenheaver is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Resources and Enironmental Conservation at Virginia Tech.
10:30am - Policy and Economic Issues Shaping the Future of Southern Biomass Supply (1 hr, 1 SAF CFE Category 1) - Instructor: Dr. Robert C. Abt is a Professor of forest economics at North Carolina State University where he teaches natural resource management and forest economics.
12:00 - 5:00pm - Genetic Tree Improvement and Longleaf Pine Workshop - $35/person, 3.0 SAF CFE Category 1 - Instructors for the workshop include: Jerre Creighton, DOF Research Program Manager, Ones Bitoki, DOF Tree Improvement Forester, Chris Asaro, DOF Forest Health Program Manager, Bill Apperson, DOF Area Forester, Rick Myers, Department of Recreation and Conservation, and Dennis Gaston, Eastern State Lands Forester.
